LMCQI (Local Maternal Care QI)

Background

The objectives of the Local Maternal Care Quality Improvement (LMCQI) pilot projects are to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality overall and among racial/ethnic groups in California through replicable quality improvement pilot projects.  The LMCQI pilot projects will be designed to strengthen partnerships among Local Health Jurisdictions (County Public Health Departments) as well as other organizations and groups, such as hospitals, provider groups, the Regional Perinatal Programs of California (RPPC), community leaders, and the California Department of Public Health Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Program. All Local Health Jurisdictions in California were invited to submit a proposal and those who submitted a letter of intent are listed below.  Based on the current projections of budget and overall cost of pilot project, it is anticipated that 2-3 projects will be funded.
