MQIP (Maternal Quality Improvement Panel)
Objectives
The Maternal Quality Improvement Panel (MQIP) oversees all aspects of the hospital-based Quality Improvement activities of CMQCC. The committee evaluates topics for improvement potential and sets their priority. In addition, this group is charged with developing skills and increasing the capacity for quality improvement activities throughout CMQCC. Once a topic is determined, a Taskforce is organized with lead clinicians from around the state to develop a Tool-Kit or other appropriate collection of action-based resources. Several members of MQIP will "seed" each Taskforce to assist in the development of a well-conceived quality intervention. The committee has developed a "White Paper" on maternal quality improvement that we are happy to share: (see PDF) and a QI Topic evaluation grid that is also available (see PDF).
