- 2006 CA Risk-adjusted Primary and Total Cesarean Birth rates by hospital (OSHPD): Utilization rates for Selected Procedures (.pdf) or Utilization rates for Selected Procedures (.xls). IMPORTANT: these studies use AHRQ definitons for Cesarean section: "Low-risk" (term: >37wks, vertex presentation, singleton gestation), Primary Cesarean rate (IQI-21) also excludes those with prior ceasarean birth, Total Cesarean rate (IQI 33) includes all of the above "Low-risk" women.
