Alan Oppenheim, MA, MPH

Photo Alan Oppenheim received B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from San Jose State University, and a M.P.H. in Health Administration and Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. He worked as an analyst for the Humboldt-Del Norte County Health Department in the mid 1970's, largely in the areas of vital statistics, health information and program planning. Since the late 1970's Alan has worked for the California Department of Health Services, mainly with the Office of County Health Services and the Center for Health Statistics. He has extensive experience in public health and indigent care funding, standards and reporting requirements, and has participated in the development and implementation of automated information systems, including vital statistics systems at both the state and local level.
