Photo Karen Ramstorm, DO, MSPH, received her medical degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Dr. Ramstrom also received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology at the University of California, Riverside. She grew up in San Diego California, however, her parents and siblings are now residing in Redding, CA. She also has two adorable cats. Dr. Ramstrom's most current employment places her in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Ramstrom does medical oversight and division chief roles involving multiple program areas: including infant mortality, PPOR, family planning, STD, pregnancy testing, communicable disease, IZ/Travel clinic, emergency preparedness, breast and cervical CA screening, violence and injury and tobacco, to name a few. Dr. Ramstrom is also involved in the family planning and colposcopy clinic. She developed the department's Office of Epidemiology and Research. Dr. Ramstrom's clinical experiences include: part time women's health care; primary care with the U.S Army and urgent care clinics. She received her education at the Family Medicine Residency in Colorado Spring's Osteopathic Foundation; Preventative Medicine Residency/MSPH at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Her current professional interest includes: prevention, family planning, preconception, HPV, infant mortality/ prematurity, responsible sexual behavior, STD, evidence based program planning, and health information exchange.

I see the CMQCC as a uniquely valuable opportunity to broadly influence health outcomes of our population by focusing on identification of key prevention interventions necessary to influence the health and quality of life of women and their children and families.
