California Association of Neonatology (CAN)

Description/Mission:

The California Association of Neonatologists (CAN) was created by an ad hoc meeting of the Directors of California neonatal units who met for the purpose of initiation, discussion, and development of ideas that will improve the care of infants and define, promote, and promulgate the standards for care of the fetus and newborn. The Association acknowledges the District IX Section on Perinatal Pediatrics and shares a common goal of improving the outcome of pregnancy and the care of newborn infants. CAN is a founding member and partner of the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC).
