The California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) is an outgrowth of a 1997 initiative proposed by the California Association of Neonatologists (CAN). It is supported by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the State of California Department of Health Services, Maternal and Child Health Branch. The Collaborative's initial focus has been on the development of perinatal and neonatal outcomes and information, which allows for data driven performance improvement and benchmarking throughout California.
