Description/Mission:

This site run by the Center for Disease and Control (CDC) is intended to increase the nation's ability to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.  The site provides information potential causes of emergencies within the US.  The site if available in 12 different languages. 

At this site you can

  • Learn how to prepare you and your family for an emergency.
  • Learn about outbreaks of diseases such as measles within the US.
  • Learn about different causes of emergencies including bioterrorism, mass casualties, chemical and radiation emergencies, and natural disasters and severe weather.
