Holly Smith, CNM, MPH, FACNM, the lead editor for the Toolkit to Support Vaginal Birth and Reduce Primary Cesareans will facilitate a discussion with panelists on the evolving state of midwifery integration in the US and California, and the rationale for midwifery integration as a next step in quality improvement for birthing people.

Objectives
1) Define the meaning of midwifery integration at both the macro (state and federal) and micro (clinical and inter-professional) levels.
2) Describe the importance of midwifery integration as a necessary component of quality improvement in maternity care.
3) Identify opportunities and challenges for midwifery integration at your facility.
