Amanda P. Williams

Amanda Williams, MD, joined CMQCC as the Clinical Innovation Advisor in summer of 2022 and will also be an adjunct faculty in the School of Medicine at Stanford University. Her primary area of clinical interest is collaborative obstetrics and her organizational leadership work focuses on maternity care performance improvement and pregnancy care delivery, with a focus on elimination of health disparities and integration of virtual prenatal care.

Prior to joining CMQCC, Dr. Williams worked at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center where she served as Director of Maternity Services. She oversaw the maternity continuum for the Chiefs of OBGYN across 15 medical centers in northern California. She has served on state and national committees, such as the California Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review committee and the National Quality Forum Maternal Morbidity and Mortality work group.

Dr. Williams received her MA from Harvard University, her MD and master's in public health from Emory University School of Medicine, focusing on health policy and management. She completed her graduate medical training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California San Francisco.
