The new California Perinatal Quality Collaborative (CA-PQC) is seeking committed, collaborative leaders to join its Advisory Council.
The goal of the CA-PQC is to inform and build upon the work of California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) and California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) to improve the quality and equity of systems by supporting and sustaining a statewide Perinatal Quality Collaborative of public and private entities across the birthing continuum. The CA-PQC will leverage California's community, clinical care, and public health assets to prioritize and respond to California’s maternal and newborn/infant needs to improve outcomes through continuous clinical and community systems of care quality improvement initiatives strategically and comprehensively.
The Advisory Council will help guide CA-PQC’s work to improve maternal and perinatal health outcomes across California. We welcome applicants who bring professional expertise, community connections, lived experience, systems work and a commitment to advancing equitable care for pregnant and postpartum people, infants, and families.
Who Should Apply
We are seeking 15-18 diverse advisors representing communities and regions throughout California. Applicants may include:
- Clinical perinatal and allied health professionals
- Community care providers, including doulas, community health workers, social workers, and others
- Community and social service organizations
- People with lived experience
- Consumer advocacy organizations
- State and local health agencies
- Funders
- Quality improvement experts
- Individuals with experience in maternal, infant, perinatal, public health, and community-based services
We strongly encourage applications from people who serve or represent communities that have historically experienced inequities in maternal and perinatal health outcomes.

Advisory Council Commitment
If selected, Advisory Council members will be asked to participate in the following activities:
- Attend the November 13th launch
- Attend a virtual orientation
- Participate in quarterly, 90-minute virtual meetings each year
- Attend one in-person meeting annually
- Financial travel assistance may be available for members who are not supported by their employer.
- Participate in virtual ad hoc meetings or workgroups as needed
- Sign and comply with a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect confidential information related to CA-PQC’s work
